Rule 1: ナA-に／イA-く V

Structure: ナA-に／イA-く + Verb

Used to indicate how to do an action. Na-adjectives change な to に, i-adjectives change い to く, and they are placed before verbs to modify them.

How to use: For な-adjectives: remove な → add に (e.g., しずかだ → しずかに). For い-adjectives: remove い → add く (e.g., はやい → はやく). Place directly before the verb.

💡 Pro Tip: This turns adjectives into adverbs. Exception: いい (good) becomes よく, not いく. Also, some adjectives like 多おおい cannot be used this way (use たくさん instead).

Structure: N + のために、 __

Used to describe a target that receives benefits or privileges. Can also be used to express purpose when followed by a clause.

How to use: Attach のために to a noun. When the noun is a person/group, it means 'for the benefit of'. When the noun is an action (V-る), it expresses purpose (in order to).

💡 Pro Tip: Don't confuse ___ために (purpose) with ___ように (purpose/situation change). Also, ため can mean 'because of' when followed by に: じこのためにおくれた (was late due to an accident).
